It broke off at the end of the second metal section of the jack (starting from the tip). "Don't take it out and take it to apple store." I bought it in the next day apple tech took a look and said it was physically damage inside it not under warranty.
I call apple support they said bring in to apple store and they will try to fix it or replace it. The second time I tried but could not get it out. The first time I was able to take it out. I purchased the ipad 4 generation less than 3 months and the peace of the charger break and got stuck inside the ipad twice.
